Please note: The TCD-D7 has been discontinued and is no longer made. The D-8 has replaced it.

The Sony D-8 Portable DAT Recorder has provided a reliable and trustworthy companion for years around our store. It is used by many different professional film and recording artists in the "real world". Sony's D-8 features the 44.1kHz analog record mode, glossy charcoal shell coloring, 16 bit quantization, and "spiffy" gold connectors so that you can interface directly with professional grade dat decks. The auto date function automatically lays down the date and time it was recorded for easy retrieval. The built in compressor controls the record level when you aren't looking or switch to manual mode for more control. It's large back lit LCD screen is the talk of the town during dark concerts while other dat decks leave you scrambling for the flashlight. 2 speed cue/review allows you to hear the sound when in fast forward or rewind mode. We trust it so much that almost every show we do is recorded using the D-8 deck.
