Unique to the PORTADISC
is a USB (Universal Serial Bus) Interface enabling the transfer of
files to and from Windows-based PCs and Mac computers. Complementing
the basic Divide/Combine/Move editing possible on the PORTADISC itself,
suitably equipped jornalists and sound recordists can now record and
edit finished programmes and news pieces in the field and transfer
them via e-mail or ISDN, or write them to CD, etc.
